A village organization and a women organization was formed in LSO Chatorkhand jurisdiction during this quarter.
Chairman met the people of Aminabad and threw a light on the advantages of an organization and invited them to form an organization in their area. They formed Village Organization in Aminabad which has 23 members initial. It has savings of Rs. 3900.
Mr. Jafar Hussain was chose as the President and Mr. Sardar Khan was selected Manager of this new organization.
Women Business Organization is a new emerged organization it was formed by the women of Women Multipurpose Activity Center Chatorkhand on Dec. 11, 2010 . It has 22 members and their current savings are Rs. 2200.
Miss Amina took responsibilities of Presedent and Mrs. Tasleem was selected Manager of Women Business Organization.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO AHBAB-E-SUKHAN KHOWAR
Ahbab-e- Sukhan Khowar Ishkoman is cultural organization which aims to enhansment of its culture. Its conducts several kinds of Cultural and Musical Programs on different occasions. In this chain, a musical program was conducted on Oct. 30. 2010. LSO also contribute with the amount of Rs. 5000/- on their request.
HEALTH INSURANCE OF NEEDY PEOPLE
As per mandate of the organization, LSO has been working with First Micro Health Insurance Agency since last three years. People insuring their health as per policy of FMiA. However, there are few households who could not bear these extra expence and cannot avail this facility. In this regards, LSO paid for following three families as insurance premium @ 450 per head.

RESTORATION OF IRRIGATIONCHANNEL AND PIPE LINE IN KUCHDEH.
LSO Chatorkhand received a special aid of amount of Rs. 50,000/- from AKRSP to assist the flood affecties on Sept. 9, 2010 .
During the Board Meeting, BoDs decided to handover this cheque to V.O Kuchdeh for restoration of irrigation channel and pipe line from Chatorkhand to Khuchdeh.
LSO Chatorkhand handover this cheque to V.O Kuchdeh in their meeting on Oct. 26, 2010 .
They invested Rs. 10,060/- on water pipe restoration. Which was 705 feet in length. The beneficiaries of this project were 40 House Holds. The project was successfully completed.
On the other hands Rs. 39160 are investing on irrigation channel. 20% work was completed, whereas remaining work will complete in coming season. It was uncompleted due to freezing winter season.
APPOINTMENT OF MANAGER AND OFFICE BOY
As the LSO received management fund from AKRSP, it is decided to hair a manager and an office boy for smooth running of its activities ahead. Thus a manager was haired after test and interview on Sep. 28, 2010 .
ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON GOOD GOVERNANCE
A one day workshop on “Good Governance” was conducted by the organization with the collaboration of AKRSP Gilgit. Dr. Nazir was the facilitator of that workshop. Total eighteen members participated from BoDs, Civil & Political Societies in this workshop. The main purpose of this workshop was to understand the mechanism of development by identifying over problems and find out the way to resolve with the collaboration of Government and other NGOs.
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFIED WHEAT SEEDS FOR WINTER SOWINGS
On the request of BoDs, a resolution for Certified Wheat Seeds was presented to AKRSP. On this request, a 1500 kg certified seeds of wheat was issued by the AKRSP Gilgit. These seeds were issued to 26 farmers. Mr. Gari Khan conducted one day workshop for those formers on Winter Wheat Sowings.
It is decided that all the beneficiaries will responsible to recollect the seed as 60 kgs per former to LSO after harvesting the crop.

LSO Chatorkhand has created link with AKRSP and surveyed of protective walls in Chatorkhand / Kuchdeh, Pakora and Survey of irrigation channel in Dain and Pakora Valley
Conducted Annual General Body Meeting, Dissolved the BoDs and New Board

Annual General Meeting
AGM of LSO Chatorkhand was conducted in on Oct 24th 2010 . 75% members participated in the meeting.
The purpose of conducting the meeting was to share the performance of the organization and dissolve BoD and form new one. Chairman Syed Ashiq Hussain explained the Board and General Body meeting. Miss. Salima threw a light on the performance of the organization. Mr. Saleem read the audit report of 2009. Mr. Asgar Ali Shah brifed the participants about Micro Health Insurance.
Chairman answered all the questions raised from the members.
After question answer session, Chairman resigned with his BoD and invite members to form a new BoD. Then a new BoD was formed by the members and representatives of different V,W/Os as following:

Mr. Ali Gohar was chosen as vice chairman while Mrs. Zar Bibi was selected as General Secretary.
